I began college not knowing what I wanted to do. The only thing I did know is that I loved being part of student media publications. It gave me an opportunity to express my creativity and talk to new people with interesting stories that had to be told. I joined the Valkyrie Magazine staff my sophomore year and have learned so much about being a leader and divvying up tasks.

Valkyrie Spring '24 Issue'

This is one of the spreads I created as the assistant editor for the Issues and Impact section. I gave out assignments for the photo and graphics and designed the layout.

Written Story Edit

In COM 303, I had to act as an editor to the Digital Storytelling I class. I gave feedback and ensured they provided the best information and written article.

Blog

As Issues and Impact Asst. Editor, one of my responsibilities was to write a blog for the website. I chose to recount my concert going experience.

Valkyrie Website

At the beginning of the Fall 2024 semester, I took on the task of giving the Valkyrie Website a refresh.

Video Story

For this video story, I and a partner were assigned three students to lead through the creation of this. Together, we took their clips and pieced them together. Then we added narration over and published the video.
